South Florida started Monday with mostly cloudy skies and quite a few showers.
Most of the heavier rain is staying offshore, but a few spotty showers are impacting portions of South Florida.
There will be a likely chance of showers and storms in the forecast through the day, with the possibility of some of the storms turning strong to severe. Highs Monday will make it to the mid 80s, with humid conditions.
Meteorologists said the rain has been because of a few disturbances that move across the region and have been bringing the rain events.
By Tuesday, the system causing the rainy days will push to our south, meaning better weather headed our way. More sunshine is expected Tuesday through the rest of the week, with highs staying in the mid 80s.
