Sara Cardona

Sara Cardona is an NBC6 sports anchor and reporter who also contributes to Telemundo 51’s sports coverage. Her career at NBC6 began in June of 2023.

Cardona joined NBC6 from ABC 36 in Lexington, Kentucky where she was a sports anchor and reporter. Previously, she spent two years as a sports anchor and reporter at CBS4 in Gainesville, Fla., where she covered the University of Florida and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Cardona also served as a sideline reporter covering Conference USA football and basketball games on ESPN3 and ESPN Plus for more than two years.

Cardona was born in Medellín, Colombia, and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Middle Tennessee State University. Cardona began her sports media career at Fox 17 and ABC 2 in her hometown of Nashville.
