As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, on Friday, a source told Access Hollywood that Cher has been "loving and supportive" of her child, who went public with his decision to transition just after his 40th birthday.
"He is proud of his decision and grateful for the support and respect that has already been shown by his loved ones," rep Howard Bragman said of Chaz in a statement released to Access Hollywood. "It is Chaz's hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his 'coming out' did nearly 20 years ago."
