Vice President Joe Biden makes his second Sunday show appearance since the Inauguration, this time on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Host David Gregory will interview Biden in his hometown of Wilmington, Del., where he often weekends, on a host of pressing issues — from the ailing economy to health care reform to the elections in Iran.
Biden had appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Jan. 25.
After Biden, the future of the GOP will be the talk at Gregory’s roundtable, with Republican strategist Mike Murphy and MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough, the former Republican congressman from Florida who has written the new book “The Last Best Hope: Restoring Conservatism and America’s Promise.”
Meanwhile, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, the former governor of Kansas, makes the rounds on ABC’s “This Week” and CNN’s “State of the Union” to discuss President Barack Obama’s health care plan that he’s been promoting on the road.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who ran unsuccessfully for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, also appears on ABC. And on CNN are Sens. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.), Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine).
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) are on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” Sens. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) stop by “Fox News Sunday,” which also has U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Tom Donohue. And Senate Whip Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) is interviewed on C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers.”
Finally, on Bloomberg TV, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) is Al Hunt’s guest on “Political Capital” to discuss his efforts to block the release of detainee abuse photos, the Middle East peace process and the administration’s proposals to tighten financial regulations.
