Feds Charge 32 People at 4 SoFla Pain Clinics

32 people were charged in the latest pill mill crack down

Federal authorities have charged 32 doctors and other workers at four South Florida pain clinics in the latest crackdown on "pill mills."

Authorities say the defendants collectively prescribed more than 20 million painkillers from 2008 through 2010 and racked up more than $40 million in sales.

An FBI agent says it amounts to the dismantling of "the nation's largest criminal organization involved in the illegal distribution of painkillers."

Thirteen doctors are among those charged.
