High School Band Booster Committed Lewd Acts With Male Students: BSO

Michael Jacobs lured at least eight boys to his home for sleepovers with porn, pot, and booze, say police

A Cypress Bay High School band booster committed indecent acts with students he lured to his Weston home with porn, pot, and alcohol, the Broward Sheriff's Office alleges.

Michael Jacobs, 43, is charged with 28 counts of multiple charges including lewd or lascivious battery, lewd or lascivious molestation, lewd or lascivious conduct, lewd or lascivious exhibition, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and showing obscene material to a minor.

Most of the eight known victims were 12-13 years old at the time of the crimes, BSO detectives said, and are 14-15 now.

Jacobs is alleged to have hosted numerous sleepovers attended by the boys between July of 2009 and August 2011 at his home at 3830 Crestwood Circle in Weston.

On many occasions, investigators say, he masturbated in front of the youngsters after supplying them with drugs, booze, and pornographic videos -- and would often get them to do the same.

Jacobs is being held on bonds totally $50,500.

Detectives believe there are more victims and expect even more charges to be filed against Jacobs as the investigation continues.
