A 12-year-old Florida girl has been arrested for choking her mother with a belt at their home.
Authorities say the mother had bruises around her neck when they finally arrived.
The uinidentified woman told Lee County deputies she tried to get out of the house and away from her pre-teen, but passed out during the attack.
It took a neighbor's help to get the girl off of her mother. The neighbor said the girl was threatening to kill her mother while holding a piece of wood.
The girl faces a felony charge of battery by strangulation.
It's unclear what sparked the attack.
