2 Teens Arrested in Hialeah Shooting Caught on Video

Two teens have been arrested in the shooting of a third teen near a Hialeah Tri-Rail station in an incident that was caught on camera.

Luis Morfa, 18, and a 17-year-old face charges of attempted murder and attempted armed robbery in the April 26 shooting in the area of Northwest 37th Avenue and 81st Street, Hialeah Police said.

Both were arrested Wednesday. It was unknown if they have attorneys.

According to police, 19-year-old Jose Camacho was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Morfa when the 17-year-old, who was also a passenger, pointed a handgun at Camacho and demanded his possessions.

Camacho jumped out of the car and the teen shot at him, hitting him four times. The brief video shows Camacho opening a door and running from the car.

The suspects fled the scene and Camacho ran away and was able to call police.

Camacho was hit in the right arm and torso but his injuries weren't life threatening and he was released from the hospital that evening.
