3 Charged With Human Trafficking: Hialeah Police

Hialeah Police have arrested three men for human trafficking, having sex and arranging for sex with two underage girls.

Carlos Cazares, 22, Izquierdo Alcala, 32, and Freddy Rodriguez, 21, are all facing numerous human trafficking charges, police said.

Police say Cazares, Alcala and Rodriguez rented a room at El Paraiso Motel in Hialeah on Nov. 16, did drugs and forced a 17-year-old girl to agree to have sex for money with other men.

"My client apparently, allegedly, was the one who took the victim to the hospital," Cazares' attorney, Adolfo Gutierrez, said at a bond hearing Wednesday.

Detectives said the underage victim in a separate similar incident in December was 13 years old. The arrest reports detail that all three men were involved in human trafficking.

Cazares was ordered held without bond and is staying behind bars. The other two co-defendants had a bond of $53,000 each.

The prosecutor said that was a mistake, as they should have no bond just like Cazares.

Rodriguez and Alcala will be back in bond court again Thursday. Prosecutors will have a detective testify as to the severity of the charges so the judge can then set no bond for them.
