Three children were hospitalized after a fire swept through a Broward home Monday night.
The fire was reported at the home in the 2800 block of Northwest 9th Court in an unincorporated area of the county, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue officials said.
Smoke was coming out of the home as firefighters arrived and quickly put it out.
Three kids were taken to Plantation Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation. No one else was injured.
Officials said the fire likely started in the kitchen while someone was cooking.
