No. 2 - The future of former Broward Sheriff Scott Israel’s goal of getting his job back lies in the hands of the Florida Senate on Wednesday, days after a panel in the legislative chamber agreed with Gov. Ron DeSantis’ decision to suspend him over several issues including the mass shooting at a Parkland school.
The 40-member group will vote with a simple majority voting to either keep Israel’s suspension in place or return him back to office for the first time since January.
No. 3 - Police have made a second arrest in the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old over the weekend at a house party in southwest Miami-Dade.
18-year-old Matthew Hernandez was arrested on charges of second-degree murder and discharging a firearm from a vehicle Tuesday evening, Miami-Dade Police officials said. Earlier, a 17-year-old suspect was arrested on charges that included second-degree murder.

No. 4 - A 15-year-old Hollywood girl is in recovery after an Uber driver's gun accidentally went off inside the vehicle and struck her in the foot.
According to a police report, the Uber driver, Adrian Harper, is now being charged with culpable negligence. The teenager, Bailey Braun, says that she and a friend were riding in an Uber Pool when all of a sudden a shot went off, and a bullet went through her ankle.
No. 5 - A top U.S. diplomat testified Tuesday that President Donald Trump was holding back military aid for Ukraine unless the country agreed to investigate Democrats and a company linked to Joe Biden's family.
In a lengthy opening statement to House investigators obtained by The Associated Press, William Taylor described Trump's demand that "everything" President Volodymyr Zelenskiy wanted, including vital aid to counter Russia, hinged on making a public vow that Ukraine would investigate going back to the 2016 election.

Officials from the Kissimmee Police Department released body cam footage showing the moments last Saturday when Amanda Zimmerman handed her 18-month-old son MJ to officers after he started choking on a goldfish cracker and was not breathing.
