A woman has died while on a dive trip in the Florida Keys.
Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin says 41-year-old Andrea Moody of Lakeland was on a group dive trip Saturday in the waters off Islamorada.
Witnesses reported seeing Moody panic as soon as she jumped into the water. Herrin says Moody was unconscious by the time the group got her back onto the boat.
Moody then stopped breathing. Herrin says the boat crew attempted to revive her as they returned to shore. Moody was pronounced dead at a hospital.
An autopsy is pending.
