Anti-Child Sex Trafficking Campaign Begins in Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade officials are teaming up with advertisers to unveil a new campaign to stop the sex trafficking of children in South Florida.

State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle is partnering with City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez and Clear Channel Outdoor, CBS Outdoor and Van Wagner in the new campaign, which launched on Monday.

The "Stop The Sale of Our Children for Sex" campaign includes full-size billboards and bus shelter displays that will promote awareness of the problem locally, officials said.

The ad space was donated by the companies at a coat of about $500,000.

Concerned citizens are asked to call the local hotline at 305-350-5567.
