A blaze erupted at a Miami Beach Chevron gas station Tuesday after a driver crashed into a pump, authorities said.
Police said there were no injuries in the crash at 71St. Street and and Abbott Ave., but cordoned off the roads in the area as a precaution.
Two women who were in the vehicle jumped out, and the flames were put out.
"I looked outside and saw the fire. I went over here and hit the stop button. That's what I am trained to do," said Carol Smith.
Miami Beach Police are investigating.
