Detectives Investigating After Body Found in SW Miami-Dade Home

Homicide detectives are investigating after a body was discovered in a home in southwest Miami-Dade Thursday morning.

Miami-Dade Police officials said officers made the discovery around 4 a.m. after they received a call for a welfare check at a home in the 16100 block of Southwest 141st Avenue.

Officers found a broken sliding glass door and when they went inside found the body, officials said.

A white Mercedes that was tied to the home was later found with another family member, officials said.

Police haven't released the identity of the victim, and no other information was immediately known.
