A Doral woman accused of giving botched facial injections pleaded no contest to charges of practicing medicine without a license Tuesday.
Edna Ayala was sentenced to five years of probation and was ordered to stay away from her victim, Isabel Gonzalez.
Gonzalez received vitamin injections from Ayala in 2012 that left her with a deformed and infected face.
Gonzalez, of East Fort Lauderdale, said that she paid $890 for the injections in between her eyebrows, on the corners of her lips and on both sides of her lower chin.
Ayala's salon, Viviana’s Body Secrets Spa, was later raided and shut down.
