Family of Woman Killed at Palm Beach Golf Course Still Seeking Culprit 6 Years Later

Family asking public to step forward with clues.

It’s been six years since Cynthia Moffett was shot to death at Forest Oaks Golf Club in Palm Beach County, but police are still nowhere near finding who was responsible for the murder.

But Moffett’s family won’t give up looking for the culprit and seeking justice. Ever.

"We really, really miss her and we really would love for somebody to step forward if they know anything at all, said Debbie Moffett Muller, Cindy's younger sister, in a statement released this weekend.

It's very tragic to live with everyday not knowing what happen or who's responsible. We want justice. We're not going to forget her. We're not going to go away."

As the anniversary of her death on March 23, 2006 approaches, the family is organizing the 6th Annual Cindy Moffett Memorial Golf Tournament at the Boca Country Club to raise awareness and plea to the public to help find the killer.

The event starts at noon on Sunday.

Moffett was shot and killed as she closed up the pro shop at 144 Lucerne Lakes Blvd.  She was found on the ground just outside the South door of the shop. She was shot twice in the upper torso.

Police say she was shot between 5 and 6 p.m. and that the suspect only got away with some wrapped coins. Some coins were found a distance from the pro shop.

A detective for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office previously said that they believed the murderer had to be someone that knows or lived in the area as the pro shop is off the beaten path in a small building far away from roads.
