Authorities are investigating a murder-suicide in West Palm Beach.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office officials said the suspect was apparently upset about his ex-lover's involvement with a new boyfriend and went to her home early Sunday. Deputies said the two argued and the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot her. A witness wrestled the gun away from the suspect and he fled.
Authorities said he ran back to his house, grabbed another firearm and fatally shot himself.
The gunman was Owen Cornwall, 50, who shot Jennifer Cornwall, 48, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported.
They had been separated and were living at different homes, and had a history of domestic problems with law enforcement.
