A man was killed and a group of high school students were hospitalized after a bad crash in Miami Wednesday.
The crash happened shortly after noon in the area of Northwest 7th Street and 35th Avenue.
Police said eight students from Green Springs High School were in a minivan driving back to school after lunch when they struck another car.
The van the students in flipped on its side after hitting the car. Four others cars that were parked on the street were also struck.
The eight students and two adults were taken to a nearby hospital where a man who was in the car later died.
Officials haven't identified the man who died. The students' conditions were unknown.
"Basically what we have on our hands is a tragedy," Miami Police spokesman Freddy Cruz said.

Witnesses said they saw some of the students fly out of the van's windows after the impact.
No other information was immediately known.
