1 Shot, 1 Injured at Eastern Florida State College After Fight: Cops

The man was being questioned by police.

Two people were injured, one of whom was shot, at Eastern Florida State College in Palm Bay Thursday during a fight between three people, the school's website said.

The lockdown on the Palm Bay Campus was lifted, and classes were cancelled for the rest of the day.

"Two people were injured in the confrontation, including one who was shot, and both are being treated at the hospital. Palm Bay Police remain on campus conducting an investigation," the school website said.

Police said someone was attacked, went to his car, got a weapon and shot one of the men who were beating him, Wesh reported. The man who was shot was in critical condition.
