A man wanted in connection with a fatal police-involved shooting in Miami-Dade has been arrested, officials said Thursday.
Howard Arom Morraz, 24, was arrested by the U.S. Marshal and Florida Caribbean Regional Task Force, Miami-Dade Police said.
Morraz will face charges of possession of a firearm, police said. It's unknown if he's hired an attorney.
An arrest warrant was issued for Morraz last month, after a shooting at an apartment complex at 132nd Street and Northeast 7th Avenue.
Officers responded to the complex as part of an investigation, when they confronted a suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Marvin Arroliga. They said Arroliga fired at officers with a high-powered rifle and they fired back.
Arroliga was killed in the shooting. No officers were injured.
Police said Morraz, Arroliga's brother, was also at the scene of the shooting.
