Margate Officer Grazed by Bullet at Gun Range

Police said the incident occurred at Markham Park Target Gun Range.

Sunrise police were investigating after a Margate Police officer was grazed by a bullet at a gun range Monday.

Police said the bullet ricocheted and grazed him.  He was transported to Broward General Medical Center in stable condition.

The incident occurred at Markham Park Target Range.

Special Response Team officers were training when the incident occurred.

"He was hit by a ricocheted bullet fragment in the belly, was transported to the hospital and is supposedly doing fine," said Sgt. Efrain Suarez.
