A massive recall issued by one packing company means over 375,000 pounds of cooking items – including cooking powders and seasonings – that may have been contaminated with lead.
Oriental Packing Company, based out of Miami, issued a recall for a variety of products under the Bleu Mountain, Jamaican Choice, Ocho Rios, Oriental and Grace brand names. The items were made in both Florida and New York and sold nationwide in both stores and online.
Consumers are advised to check the Food and Drug Administration’s website to see if they are using a product on the recall list. A link to the site can be found by clicking here.
