A morning lockdown put a temporary halt to normal activities at Miami Beach High School early Thursday.
The lockdown was ordered shortly after 8 AM this morning, with officials from both Miami-Dade Schools Police and the Miami Beach Police Department dispatching officers to the scene.
About 40 minutes later, the lockdown was lifted and the school returned to normal operations. The cause of the lockdown is still currently under investigation.
