A young mother is in jail after police claim she was playing toss with a baby in a slippery tub.
Ireca Hudson, 19, has been charged with child neglect causing great bodily harm after she neglected to take her son to the hospital after the bathroom incident.
Last month, Hudson picked up her son from his father and was taking a shower with the boy in her Miami apartment when, after one toss, he slipped through her hands and fell in the tub. The boy suffered injuries to his head and abdomen, a chipped tooth, and an injury to his penis.
Despite the fall, Hudson hid the injuries from the kid's father, who noticed the boy's swollen eyelids and called police.
Hudson later confessed to investigators what had happened and feared that if she took her son to the hospital, the father would blame her.
Hudson is being held on $7,500 bond.
