‘Monster Mobster' Fugitive Arrested in West Palm Beach

Matthew Thomas Foreman was arrested Wednesday by U.S. Marshals in West Palm Beach on an outstanding arrest warrant from Columbus, Ohio.

Foreman has been dubbed the "Monster Mobster" by law enforcement in Columbus.

Police said Foreman allegedly robbed several businesses while carrying a firearm in the Columbus area in June. Foreman was captured on video surveillance wearing a "Monster Energy" drink sweatshirt.

On July 21, the Municipal Court in Columbus issued a warrant for Foreman's arrest charging him with aggravated robbery with a firearm.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Columbus sent a lead to the U.S. Marshals in West Palm Beach Wednesday after a family member alerted police that Foreman might be in a detox center in Delray Beach.

U.S. Marshals from the West Palm Beach office responded to Summit Detox and apprehended Foreman without incident. He told Marshals that he was admitted into the detox center for heroin addiction issues.

Foreman was raised in the Riviera Beach and Palm Beach County area. He attended high school in Palm Beach County.

After he was taken into custody, authorities said Foreman made a spontaneous statement, "If you do the crime, I guess you have to do the time."

Foreman was booked into the Palm Beach County jail and will remain there until he is extradited back to Columbus to face the outstanding charges.
