NFL Releases Miami Dolphins' 2013 Schedule

Dolphins get three prime time showcases in 2013, including Halloween night game against Cincinnati

NFL Releases Miami Dolphins' 2013 Schedule

The NFL released 2013 team schedules on Thursday, and the Miami Dolphins will begin the season on the road against the Cleveland Browns.

Miami will follow up with another road game, against the Indianapolis Colts, before opening their home slate on Sept. 22 against the Atlanta Falcons.

In a change from the 2012 season, when Miami played only one prime time game on national television, the Dolphins will get three opportunities to showcase themselves in night games. Miami has two Monday night games: at the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 30 and at the Tampa Bay Bucs on Nov. 11, in addition to a Thursday night home date with the Cincinnati Bengals on Halloween night.

Other home matchups include the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 6, the San Diego Chargers and the Carolina Panthers, in addition to Miami's three AFC East rivals.

The season closes with a visit by the New York Jets on Dec. 29, with the New England Patriots visiting on Dec. 15 and the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 20. The Dolphins' bye week will be during Week 6 (Oct. 13).

The Dolphins will face three cold-weather teams on the road in December, visiting the Jets on Dec. 1, the Pittsburgh Steelers on Dec. 8, and the Bills on Dec. 22. A trip to New England on Oct. 27 rounds out the away schedule.

The Dolphins will be playing with new uniforms and a revamped roster in 2013. The NFL has given the team plenty of opportunities to prove that these changes are more than cosmetic.
