A rabies alert was issued this week around the area housing Disney World in Central Florida.

Officials from the Florida Department of Health issued a 60-day rabies alert earlier this week for a two mile radius around the intersection of I-4 and Epcot Center Drive, according to NBC affiliate WESH-TV.

The alert was in response after a stray cat that was found in the area tested positive for the disease and may have affected other animals in the area.

Disney World has not announced any changes in hours or access to parks in the area as a response.
