A rollover crash in Pembroke Pines killed one person and injured another Friday evening.
Pembroke Pines Police said a 2014 white Ford Mustang was traveling southbound on Hiatus Road just before 5 p.m. That's when police said the car left the roadway just north of Pembroke Road and hit several trees in the center median before flipping over.
Firefighters worked to free the two people who were trapped in the overturned car. Police said the passenger, 28-year-old Edner Rouzard, died at the scene. The driver, 36-year-old Dougera Illarion, was airlifted to Memorial Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the crash is still under investigation and no charges have yet been filed.
