Reward Offered for Escaped Florida Keys Inmate

An inmate who escaped custody from a Florida Keys jail on Friday is still at large.

Now Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps to locate and recover 37-year-old Sean Michael Stacey.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said Stacey was working outside the Plantation Key jail facility as a maintenance trusty for Monroe County Public Works when he went missing. He was last seen in the area of High Point Road on Plantation Key around 4 p.m. Police recovered his orange jail jumpsuit nearby.

Stacey has been in jail since September 2014 on charges of burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief.

Deputies describe Stacey as six feet tall, 200 pounds, with blue eyes and short red hair. He is from the Florida City area.
