The westbound S.R. 836 ramps to S.R. 826 south and north that were scheduled to be closed Thursday night will remain open until 10 p.m. Friday.
The closure will allow the contractor pour concrete for a new bridge and allow the concrete to cure. The schedule may change due to bad weather or other unforeseen conditions.
"People should give themselves more time," said construction specialist Oscar Gonzalez. "It's definitely not the normal traffic pattern and this is why we do this on the weekends."
The closure schedule:
- 10 p.m. Friday, November 7 through 5 a.m. Monday, November 10 (Full Weekend Closure)
Westbound drivers on S.R. 836 going south to S.R. 826 can:
- Continue west on S.R. 836
- Access the West Flagler Street/S.R. 826 south ramp
- Exit at the West Flagler/S.R. 826 south ramp
Westbound drivers on S.R. 836 going north to S.R. 826 can:
- Exit at Northwest 72nd Avenue
- Make a slight left to Northwest 11th Street
- Go west on Northwest 11th Street to access the northbound SR 826 ramp after Milam Dairy Road
Traffic signals in the area will have the timing extended to provide for better traffic flow.
