John Farrell, 25, posted bond late Wednesday.

The high school teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a teen student is out of jail after posting bond late Wednesday.

John Farrell, 25, was arrested on May 27 and charged with 20 counts of unlawful sexual activity with minors, according to a complaint afidavit.

The Cardinal Gibbons Catholic High School math teacher allegedly began engaging in sexual activity with the student at the beginning of March, according to Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion. She said the student would go to Farrell's after school.

Farrell's bond was set at $50,000 by Broward Circuit Judge John Hurley on Tuesday.

He must now wear a GPS monitor and stay away from the victim. He has been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the results of the investigation.
