Tropical Storm Grace Moving Across Far Eastern Atlantic

Tropical Storm Grace is moving westward across the far eastern Atlantic where it poses no immediate threat to land.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami says the storm has maximum sustained winds near 45 mph (75 kph). On Sunday it was centered about 450 miles (720 miles) west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. Grace is moving west at 14 mph (22 kph) and expected to continue in that same general direction for the next 48 hours.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect from the seventh named tropical storm of the Atlantic season.

Forecasters say Grace could strengthen some in the next day or two.
