Pembroke Pines Police say a venomous water moccasin was captured after it bit a resident over the July 4th holiday.
The resident, who lives in the Cobblestone community, was given anti-venom after receiving the bite, police said Wednesday. The snake was safely removed.
Police also released video of the water moccasin, which was hiding out under a garden hose.
"It's currently 'Snake Bite Season' (April-October) - use caution in tall grass, or moving outdoor items," police said in a statement.
