Deepak Chopra to Make Miami Stop for New Book ‘Metahuman'

"'Metahuman' is to wake up from this sleep that's going to lead us to extinction unless we do something about it."

Deepak Chopra's latest book, titled "Metahuman," focuses on moving beyond our present limitations to access infinite possibilities and enter a new state of awareness.

"I'm going much further in this book into what is the nature of fundamental reality beyond our mind, body and experience of the world," the bestselling author and alternative medicine advocate said in an interview with NBC 6.

"'Metahuman' is to wake up from this sleep that's going to lead us to extinction unless we do something about it," he added.

The pioneer in integrative medicine and personal transformation will do an in-detail examination of the connection between mind, body and soul at a Friday event in Miami Shores. He will also lead a meditation.

"A life that is without reflection is not worth living," he said.

Chopra recommends living an "examined life," but what does the guru say is his personal purpose?

"My personal purpose at my age right now is to reach a critical mass of people that are undergoing personal and social transformations so we can have a more peaceful, just, sustainable, healthy, and joyful world," Chopra said.

He also recommends meditation, meaningful relationships and good sleep to live a fulfilling life.

Miami is the last stop of Chopra's book tour. He will be speaking at an event Friday at Barry University. For more information, click here.
