Dolphins Defensive End Dion Jordan Working Towards Comeback

Suspended defensive end Dion Jordan is hard at work on a possible comeback with the Dolphins

Miami Dolphins defensive end could be nearing a return to the team following a suspension that cost him the 2015 season.

Jordan has already been suspended three times for drug policy violations in his three-year career. After being picked third overall for Miami, Jordan has started just one game for the team. Jordan has as many sacks as he does suspensions in his career.

The DE is considered one of the biggest draft busts in recent league history, but still has time to turn his career around. Jordan who came out of Oregon is only 26, and could be motivated to prove that his off-field issues are behind him.

While nothing has been officially announced, Jordan's agent stirred some comeback talk with a post on Twitter on Wednesday evening.

Adding fuel to the reinstatement fire was a trainer mentioned in Hendrickson's tweet. Tareq Azim is based in San Francisco and posted two pictures and a video on Instagram of Jordan working out.

Jordan is expected to be welcomed back by Miami if and when the league reinstates him. The Dolphins have made changes to their roster this off-season, but still are hunting for more talent. Jordan could end up being a surprise boost if he can stay out of trouble.

A decision on Jordan's playing status could come at any point, and it would be a surprise if the NFL did not reinstate the defensive end.
