A driver has been charged after police said he crashed into a sushi bar in Medley.
It happened Monday at Sokai Sushi Bar located at 10726 Northwest 74th Street.
Surveillance footage showed the driver crashing directly into the front entrance of the restaurant, ending up almost entirely inside.
Police said the driver has been charged with careless driving and not having a valid driver's license.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but police believe the driver confused the gas for the brakes.
Luckily, no one was sitting in the area where he crashed and no injuries were reported.
Damage at Sokai was estimated to be more than $50,000 and the Subway next door had damage estimated to be about $1,500.
