FBI Investigating 2 Broward Bank Robberies

The FBI is investigating a pair of Broward bank robberies Wednesday.

The first robbery happened around 11 a.m. at the Bank of America at 2850 N. Federal Highway in Lighthouse Point.

FBI officials said the suspect entered the bank, displayed a weapon and demanded money from an employee. Customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery but no one was injured.

The thief fled with cash but the amount wasn't disclosed.

The second robbery happened just before 3 p.m. at the Chase Bank at 6500 N. State Road 7 in Coconut Creek.

In that robbery, the thief entered and demanded money. No one was injured.
