A Panama City police officer totaled a patrol car while trying to cut through parking spots in a restaurant parking lot.
The Panama City News Herald reports that officer Loretta Tuning crashed the 2011 Dodge Charger into a pillar while cutting through a local Chili's restaurant parking lot.
The officer was not issued a ticket but another officer's report indicated the officer was driving in a careless or negligent manner.
Panama City Police Chief Scott Ervin said the officer would not have been given a ticket even if she had been a civilian, since officers do not issue citations on private property.
The officer had minor injuries.
