The anchors have dropped and Fleet Week Port Everglades 2016 is officially underway.
The annual event began Sunday evening with a concert by the Navy Band Southeast in Boca Raton, and will continue through Sunday, May 7.
The 26th annual Fleet Week Port Everglades gives sailors a chance to relax and enjoy themselves, while giving the public the chance to mis and mingle with thousands of Sailors, Marines and Coast Guard members.
Ships are set to arrive from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday morning, followed by a VIP reception and All Hands on Deck welcome party at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood starting at 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday, May 3
- Fleet Week Golf Classic, 7:30 a.m., Fort Lauderdale Country Club
- Salute to Veterans, hosted by The Marrinson Group, 11 a.m., Independence Hall, Wilton Manors
Thursday, May 5
- Military Night with the Miami Marlins, 7:10 p.m., Marlins Park
Saturday, May 7
- Navy Band Southeast Concert, 7:30 p.m., Oakland Park City Hall
