Sometimes, you just have to help someone in need.
That’s just what one Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office deputy did when he spotted a man riding a bicycle to work on its bare rim.
"He had no idea I was going back to his house later, after work, with two new tires for his bike," said Officer Terrance Hightower in a post on the sheriff’s office Facebook page.

Hightower says he was just doing what he was raised to do when he showed up to Alphonzo Stacey’s home with a set of new tires in tote.
“He was super happy and smiling … He thanked me,” Hightower said of Stacey’s reaction after receiving the gift.
Hightower said the two had a long talk, ending with Stacey wanting to attend his free workout class for the community that he has been instructing. The class seeks to educate the community on living a healthier lifestyle in both diet and fitness.

A thankful Stacey said he believes everything happens for a reason, while the sheriff's office says he "making a difference one day at a time."
