Gas Prices in South Florida Rise 10 Cents Since Last Month, Still Below National Average

Drivers in South Florida are paying slightly less at the gas pump this week to fill up their tank – but you’ll still need to shell out plenty of change if your tank is on empty.

The average price for a gallon fell slightly less than one cent from last week to $2.79, which is six cents higher than the average across the state of Florida – but two cents less than the national average of $2.81, which is up over four cents from last week and is the highest since November 2014 according to AAA.

Prices have gone up nearly 34 cents from this point last year in South Florida and almost 10 cents higher than last month.

In Miami-Dade, your cheapest option is $2.63 at the Marathon station located at 2442 West Flagler Street. In Broward County, the cheapest option is the 7-Eleven station located at 1545 Northeast 4th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale for $2.57 a gallon.
