A fight between two maintenance workers that included a gun being fired led to a brief scare on Florida International University's Biscayne Bay campus in North Miami Thursday afternoon.
FIU officials said the fight between two Aramark grounds maintenance workers resulted in a firearm being discharged but no one was hurt. Everyone involved was taken into custody, officials said.
At the time of the incident the university tweeted for everyone on the campus to "Seek shelter NOW" but officials later said there was no threat to the university community.
The incident happened on the same day FIU Police were conducting an active shooter training at the College of Business Complex on the Modesto Maidique Campus in west Miami-Dade.
