LeBron James Says It Would Be ‘Great' to Take on Heat

LeBron James let it be known that he thinks it would be great to take on the Heat in the next round

Former Miami Heat All-Star LeBron James said it would be "great" to see his old team in the next round of the NBA playoffs.

James and his Cleveland Cavaliers are currently up 1-0 in their series with the Atlanta Hawks. With only the second game coming on Wednesday evening, there is plenty of time left in this round. James was asked about the possibility of taking on the Heat in the Eastern Conference finals on Wednesday and did not hesitate.

The Heat won the first game of their series against the Toronto Raptors, but also have a long way to go. It'll take three more tough wins by both Miami and Cleveland for a meeting many are likely looking forward to. The winner of that potential series would move on to the NBA finals.

James has made it into the finals in five straight years with four of those coming during his run in Miami. Last year the Cavaliers lost to the Golden State Warriors in the championship round, and the Western Conference opponent could end up the same again.

It is not entirely surprising to hear James state his interest in a playoff series with Miami, as he remains friends with Dwyane Wade. James mentions Wade in the video as part of his answer as a matter of fact.

Miami will continue its attempt to make the East finals on Thursday in Toronto at 8 p.m.
