A man who police say killed his sister in an argument over a utility bill has been arrested.
Fort Lauderdale Police said 25-year-old Willie Ward got into an argument with his sister, 29-year-old Jaquinda Wright, on Friday. Police said the fight was apparently over an electric bill.
The argument soon turned physical, and officers said Ward punched Wright twice in the head.
Wright collapsed and was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center, where she died.
Neighbors had told the media that Wright was pregnant.
Detectives said Ward fled the scene Friday, and was arrested Sunday without incident.
There had been an active warrant for his arrest in connection with this murder, police said.
