A Wilton Manors man was arrested after police say he was caught masturbating on a public sidewalk early Sunday morning.
Matthew Stephen Youshock, 46, was arrested on a charge of lewd and lascivious behavior near his home in the 400 block of Northeast 26th Street, according to a Wilton Manors Police report.
Youshock appeared in bond court Monday, where he was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation. He was represented by a public defender.
According to the report, Youshock was spotted by an officer unclothed on a public sidewalk in a residential neighborhood masturbating and exposing his genitals just before 3 a.m. He was in plain view of passing motorists and within 600 feet of the Wilton Manors Elementary School, the report said.
When the officer made contact with Youshock, the officer saw a metal ring on his penis and he had a plastic bottle, the report said. Youshock said he uses the ring to keep his penis erect and the plastic bottle had "poppers," a liquid aphrodisiac, according to the report.
