Gov. Deval Patrick is heading to Miami to campaign with fellow Democrat Charlie Crist, who is locked in a tight race for governor of Florida.
John Walsh, head of Patrick's political action committee, said the governor will join Crist at events on Monday focused on ways to improve education in Florida and generate excitement for Crist's candidacy.
Florida is considered in the nation's largest swing state.
Patrick has used his Together PAC to help pay for trips to other states to campaign for candidates that Patrick says share his political vision and philosophy of grass-roots organization.
Patrick's planned visit on Monday comes on the heels of a Friday campaign rally for Crist with former President Bill Clinton in Miami.
Patrick is scheduled to return to Massachusetts Monday evening.
