Miami Police are investigating after shots were fired in Overtown Saturday morning.
Officers responded to Northwest 3rd Avenue and 17th Street at about 10:30 a.m. after reports of shots being fired in that area, according to a news release.
When officers arrived, they saw a man running through the parking lot of a church, so they blocked off the area, said the release. SWAT and K-9 units responded to the scene, but officials said they were unable to locate a suspect.
Police said the motive of the shooting was unknown. Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
