One man was hospitalized and a dog was killed in a police-involved shooting in Hallandale Beach Thursday morning.
The shooting happened in the 700 block of Northwest 4th Street as officers were serving a search warrant on a narcotics suspect, Hallandale Beach Police said.
When officers entered the property, they were forced to shoot the dog, a pit bull, police said.
Police said the officers were also forced to shoot the suspect when he became violent. Footage showed a person being taken from the scene in an ambulance.
The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital where his condition was unknown.
