Police are investigating the death of a trainer who was found inside of his home in Kendall last week.
Miami-Dade police conducted a welfare check August 2 to the 9200 SW 125th Avenue and found the body 39-year-old Joany Lobo. Family members say he was stabbed to death.
Lobo was a cheerleading coach for many years. Loved ones say he had a kind and generous spirit.
"My main concern is justice," said Madelin Gonzalez, Lobo's sister. "Whoever did this, whoever knows, please reach out. That's my main concern now. Especially how it happened. He really did not deserve it."
Anyone with information about Lobo's death is asked to contact Miami-Dade Police Department Homicide Det. C. Villano at (305) 471-2400. Anonymous tipsters can contact Crime Stoppers a 305-471-TIPS (8477).
